Inverness proper and the communities closest to it sit at the low end of the range. Crystal River and Homosassa out on the Gulf side, and Sugarmill Woods to the southwest, sit toward the top. The fee exists because a technician, a truck, and a load tester show up at your house; it goes away, in effect, the moment you approve a repair.

Every pack price includes installation, cable and terminal inspection with anti-corrosion coating, a full watering on flooded packs, hold-down torque, a test drive, and haul-away of the old cores. Lead cores have recycling value, so there is no disposal fee and no 60-pound batteries left in your garage.

There is no off-season on the Nature Coast. The last row matters more than it looks. F.S. 316.212(6) requires efficient brakes, reliable steering, safe tires, a rearview mirror, and red reflectorized warning devices front and rear on any designated cart street, and Citrus County’s own golf cart ordinance repeats that list for its three designated zones: the HCA Florida Citrus hospital campus in Inverness, the streets of Crystal River, and part of Old Homosassa. The annual pays for itself here. Watering and terminal care alone are the difference between a three-year and a five-year lead-acid pack in a climate where the Inverness station counts 111.7 days a year at 90°F or above. The tune-up service page lists everything that gets checked.
What moves a price inside its range
- Pack voltage and battery brand. A 48V pack of premium Trojan 8-volts costs more than a 36V pack of value 6-volts. That is the biggest swing in the whole price list.
- Cart type. LSVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a 15-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Bigger tires, custom wheels, and aftermarket controllers add parts cost and sometimes labor.
- Corrosion. A cart that has lived near Crystal River’s tidal springs for years without terminal care often needs cables replaced alongside the batteries. We show you the cable before we quote it.
- Distance. The trip fee, not the repair price, absorbs distance. Repair prices are the same in Homosassa as in downtown Inverness.
What is not on the list
Two things. We do not do factory warranty work for any manufacturer, because we are independent and not authorized by Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And we do not quote a repair we would not recommend: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” and we will say that instead of writing a $2,000 ticket.
Getting an exact number
Send the brand, the model year if you know it, the battery count (six 6-volts is 36V; six 8-volts or four 12-volts is 48V), whether it is gas or electric, and what the cart is doing.
