We put our prices in writing for Inverness and the rest of Citrus County. Installed at your home, a lead-acid pack is $1,200 to $1,800 and lithium is $1,600 to $3,500; brakes run $75 to $400, tires $75 to $150 each, solenoids $100 to $250, and lighting $75 to $400. We usually apply the $50 to $100 service call to any repair you approve. Where you land in each range comes down to brand, model year, and pack voltage, and our tech gives you a flat quote in the driveway before touching anything.

Inverness proper and the communities closest to it sit at the low end of the range. Crystal River and Homosassa out on the Gulf side, and Sugarmill Woods to the southwest, sit toward the top. The fee exists because our tech, a truck, and a load tester show up at your house; it goes away, in effect, the moment you approve a repair.
What it pays for is our complete diagnostic, not a quick look: per-battery voltage and load test, a hydrometer check of specific gravity on flooded packs, a voltage-drop test along the main cables under load, charger output at the plug and the receptacle, and solenoid, throttle, and controller checks if the cart still will not move. We show you the readings first, and only then a price.

Every pack price includes installation, cable and terminal inspection with anti-corrosion coating, a full watering on flooded packs, hold-down torque, a test drive, and haul-away of the old cores. Because lead cores are worth something to a recycler, we charge no disposal fee and leave no 60-pound batteries behind.
Every lithium conversion comes with a charger made for lithium, since a LiFePO4 pack does not charge properly on a lead-acid profile. There is no off-season on the Nature Coast. NOAA’s Inverness 3 SE normals put the January average low at 42.6°F, mild enough that carts inside Citrus Hills or Sugarmill Woods run every month of the year, and brake shoes and tires wear on cycles, not on a calendar. A cart that does daily short trips to the clubhouse or the mailbox racks up more stop-and-go wear per year than the brochure assumes. The last row matters more than it looks. NOAA’s Inverness normals put 30.43 inches of rain, about 58 percent of the year’s 52.39, in June through September, and a garage that stays damp for a third of the year oxidizes every cable lug and charge-port pin in it. Corroded connections mimic a dying pack. Part of every diagnostic is a voltage-drop check along the main cables, and it routinely swings a quote from four figures down to a cable job. F.S. 316.212(6) requires efficient brakes, reliable steering, safe tires, a rearview mirror, and red reflectorized warning devices front and rear on any designated cart street, and Citrus County’s own golf cart ordinance repeats that list for its three designated zones: the HCA Florida Citrus hospital campus in Inverness, the streets of Crystal River, and part of Old Homosassa. Community rules often ask for the same list. Lights do not change what the cart is: no shop, ours included, can sell you a title or a VIN, so it is still a golf cart. The annual pays for itself here. Watering and terminal care alone are the difference between a three-year and a five-year lead-acid pack in a climate where the Inverness station counts 111.7 days a year at 90°F or above. Our checklist for each visit is on the tune-up service page.
What moves a price inside its range
- Pack voltage and battery brand. Premium Trojan 8-volts in a 48V cart cost more than value 6-volts in a 36V cart. No other line on our list moves as much.
- Cart type. LSVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a 15-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Oversize tires, custom wheels, and aftermarket controllers raise the parts bill and can add labor.
- Corrosion. A cart that has lived near Crystal River’s tidal springs for years without terminal care often needs cables replaced alongside the batteries. If cables show up on the estimate, we will show you the corroded ends first.
- Distance. Distance shows up in the trip fee and never in the repair price. Repair prices are the same in Homosassa as in downtown Inverness.
What is not on the list
You will not find two things here. Factory warranty work for any manufacturer is not on it, because we are an independent service with no authorization from Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And a repair is not worth buying just because it can be quoted: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” and we will tell you that rather than write a $2,000 ticket.

Tell us the make, the model year if you have it, the battery count (six 6-volts is 36V; six 8-volts or four 12-volts is 48V), gas or electric, and the symptom. Nothing speeds up a quote like a photo under the seat. We reply with a flat quote and a visit window; anything you wonder about in between is probably answered in the FAQ.
